Under this program the school outsources its SEN department to Orkids allocating space and providing infrastructure support for the operation of a resource center within school premises during regular hours. Orkids brings in academic resources, special educators, occupational therapists, and speech language therapists, as needed, to address all the special education requirements of the school. Additionally, as part of this program, Orkids offers complimentary teacher training and conducts peer workshops to build an inclusive environment and awareness within the school. Successfully running since 2008, this program received recognition as a Winner for its outstanding contribution, excellence, and accomplishments in the field of education and training in India at the IDA Awards WORLDDIDAC INDIA 2013. Currently, this program operates in prestigious schools in Delhi and the NCR region, including Modern School, Cambridge School in Delhi, Uttam School For Girls, Nehru World School in Ghaziabad, and Manav Rachna International School in Faridabad—schools committed to making a positive impact on all lives and embracing diversity.
OWS Program has also helped in shaping the inclusion policy in many schools, put their support system in place and handheld the school’s own team to run the show. Some of these schools are Lotus Valley School, Cambridge Senior School (Srinivaspuri), Modern Junior School, Modern School Barakhambha Road, New Era Public School, St Marks School, Paras World School and DPS Sushant Lok .
